Naam Tamilar Party candidate Kokila campaigns intensely in Valparai
Coimbatore: Kokila from Urulikal estate in Valparai is contesting on behalf of the Naam Tamilar Party in the Valparai Assembly constituency in Coimbatore district.

Over the past two days, Kokila has been visiting tea plantation workers in the Valparai area and visited areas such as the Urulikal estate, the old Valparai estate, the Karumalai estate and the Pachamalai estate to garner support for the party. She also visited the Villoni settlement, Nedungundram settlement, Kadamparai settlement areas in Valparai to meet the tribals and collect votes.

Kokila has vowed to abolish the business tax to aid hike in pay for tea plantation workers. While campaigning for votes, Kokila assured the people saying that she would try her best to provide houses for tea plantation workers in Valparai, akin to houses allotted for tea plantation workers in Sri Lanka. She also reassured the tribals that she would provide electricity, roads and housing for them, if voted to power.
