A new Covid-19 ward has been set up at both Bharathiar and Anna University campuses in Coimbatore as a preventive measure to combat rise in infections across city.
Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner, Kumaravel Pandian inspected on Friday the new Covid-19 ward that has been set-up at the Bharathiar University and Anna University campuses in Coimbatore. This ward has been set up as a preventive measure to combat the recent rise in infection rates.

The new Covid-19 ward with 400 beds in the Bharathiar University campus and another Covid-19 ward with 250 beds in the Anna University campus have been set up. The Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner, Kumaravel Pandian inspected these facilities and checked about the availability of basic amenities and other requirements for the new Covid-19 ward.

District Safety Officer Dr. Raja, West Zone Assistant Commissioner Sundarajan, West Zonal Executive Engineer Saravanakumar and other Corporation officials were also present during theinspection.
