Coimbatore: Coimbatore South BJP candidate Vanathi Srinivasan met with reporters at the party's election office in Gandhipuram, Coimbatore today.
At the meet, Vanathi Srinivasan said "During the visit of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, some unprecedented and misfortunate events happened in Coimbatore. But the opposition parties are misrepresenting it to make BJP look like an Anti-minority party. I am set to file a complaint about this with the District Collector."

She also explained the incident. "In an area with limited police support, squabbles happened between two parties. Conclusions must be made only after analysing the situation completely. BJP is a party for all people and is not against any religion. It has come to our notice that some anti elements are creating such situations by carrying BJP party flags and wearing BJP T-shirts," Vanathi added.
Vanathi Srinivasan also said that people should vote against such parties which use baseless accusations to gain votes and urged the public to find out the truth about the incident.
She further commented, "Udayanithi Stalin shows his lack of experience by criticizing late BJP leaders Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley. Udhayanidhi Stalin has is not qualified enough to make statements."
At the press meet, Vanathi Srinivasan urged the public to vote for BJP and not for DMK, the party which creates division amongst people.
