Coimbatore: MP Mallikarjun Kharge met with the journalists today in the Congress Party's Coimbatore District Office. He said that DMK is going to win the upcoming elections by the majority and assured that MK Stalin will be the next Chief Minister of Tamilnadu.
MP Mallikarjun Kharge, a member of Indian National Congress, then said, "We are against NEET and it is wrong on the behalf of the BJP government to force NEET examination in the states.

He also commented about Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister's activities. "Yogi Adityanath creates a problem wherever he goes and is dividing people based on religion and linguistic identity. He did not take any appropriate action with regards to the various sexual assault cases in Uttar Pradesh and actions were taken only after the protest by Congress leaders."
MP Mallikarjun Kharge also said, "The BJP regime in Uttar Pradesh has increased the crime rate by 25% and said that violence against women and children had increased in Uttar Pradesh. But Yogi Adityanath is coming to Tamil Nadu and is talking about the safety of women."
Later, he highlighted the hardships faced by the industrial city of Coimbatore due to BJP regime. "Businesses like the gold jewellery industry, automobile spare parts manufacturing industries, small business are affected heavily under the current regime which has reflected in the GDP's decline."
On listing the names of Congress prime ministers, MP Mallikarjun Kharge said that no family member has become the Prime Minister from the Nehru Family after Rajiv Gandhi and dismissed the comment about nepotism politics.
He added that BJP party should not be allowed to enter Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. "The BJP and the RSS parties are like snake venom against South India. BJP regime brought GST, Demonetisation and also introduced lockdown putting people under crisis. BJP is also using the political power of the CBI, income tax department and enforcement department to intimidate others," Mallikarjun said.
At the meet, he also questioned and criticised the party for releasing Tamil Nadu's election manifesto in the Hindi language. Adding, "BJP is trying to destroy Tamil culture and self-respect party. AIADMK has abandoned Anna's thoughts and has replaced Anna with Amit Shah."
MP Mallikarjun Kharge further told, "In the 6 lakhs and 75 thousand villages in India, the Congress party has provided electricity for around 6 lakhs 24 thousand villages. But still, the BJP leader is questioning what the Congress party has done for India. BJP protested during the introduction of computer and mobile phones but now these have become our essentials, this would not have been possible without Congress."
He then accused that the BJP leaders are liars and said that they have been cheating the people by making false promises like cash deposit of Rs 15 lakhs and job opportunities for more than 2 crore people.
At the press meet, he later commented that Modi is the face of the RSS party and RSS is a party that is against people.
MP Mallikarjun Kharge vouched for the DMK-Congress alliance and said that they will succeed in Tamil Nadu. "In Tamilnadu, no legislators can not be bought off." He said.
Coimbatore South Congress candidate Mayura S Jayakumar and party executives were present during the press conference.
