Coimbatore: The upcoming Assembly election is poised to be a battleground where there seems to be a face-off between corruption and honesty, as portrayed by various party leaders and candidates.
"The public must cast their votes wisely and voting for Makkal Needhi Maiyam will be your best choice since it comprises of honest politicians who will breed honest politics," urged MNM leader Kamal Haasan.
MNM's member and actress Sri Priya who has been campaigning in favour of Kamal Haasan, MNM's candidate for Coimbatore South opined that if Kamal Haasan won in this constituency, it would set the benchmark for the whole country that people vote for honest politics.
“Kamal Haasan is a great person and an actor who always gave himself completely to whatever he was doing. His skills and ability to deliver what is promised is visible in whatever activity he undertakes," she added.
Taking a dig at other political parties, Sr Priya said, "Only Makkal Needhi Maiam party can use the word 'honesty' and ask people to vote for it. Coimbatore people are not people whom political parties think can be deceived for they are intellectuals,” commended Sri Priya.
The Tamil Nadu Assembly polls will be held on April 6 along with Kerala and Puducherry.
