DMK candidate Karthikeya Sivasenapathy eats at Kamalathal's Re.1 idli shop for breakfast and praises her relentless efforts to serve people
Coimbatore: DMK candidate Karthikeyan Sivasenapathy ate at the famous K Kamalathal's Re.1 Idli shop in Vadivelampalayam, Thondamuthur block.
He said, "This Idli Paati has been running the shop for 50 years and sells her idlis for 1 rupee now. She has increased her price from 50 paise to one rupee due to the price hike by the Modi government on basic food items."
Karthikeya Sivasenapathy added, "Contrasting to SP Velumani's lifestyle, Kamalathal has been leading a simple life without any wrongdoings and has set an example for humbleness. Her son is into farming. Kamalathal gets up at 4.30 in the morning, finishes cooking and opens the shop at 6.30 in the morning. The business goes on until 11.30 am."
He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Kamalathal for providing the most delicious breakfast. He added, "I would also like to thank Union Secretary Samipayan and Area Officer Chinrasu. Our journey today has started with a good breakfast."
