DMK launches a specialised Election manifesto for Singanallur constituency

The members of DMK party launched an election manifesto curated for Singanallur constituency, ahead of the 2021 polls.


Coimbatore: The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) members in Coimbatore launched their specialized election manifesto for the Singanallur constituency. The DMK candidate for this constituency is N Karthik.

The election manifesto consists of plans for developing infrastructure, textile park, permanent employment for health works and so on.

Here are the key points from the DMK Election Manifesto:

Water supply in Coimbatore:

- Excess water from Bhavani river will be brought to Chinnavedampatti lake to get groundwater.

- Coimbatore Corporation will be made to supply water to the people, contract with the French company Suez will be cancelled.

Infrastructure:

- The Second phase of Coimbatore IT Park will be launched.

- A textile park with all integrated facilities will be set up.

- Work on the flyovers which have been on hold for the past 10 years, will be completed and made available to the public.

- The underground sewerage project laid in the Singanallur constituency of Coimbatore Corporation in 2009 will be implemented.

- In order to reduce traffic congestion, an underground passage will be constructed in Gandhipuram, Ukkadam, Peelamedu Government Hospital, Singanallur, Hopes College and Coimbatore railway station.

- Housing Board near Singanallur Farmers Market which has 960 flats, will be repaired.

Hospitals:

- Government hospitals will be built at Singanallur and Anamalai.

- Separate building facilities will be provided for Dental Hospital and Veterinary Hospital, plans to make Coimbatore hospital as a multi-speciality hospital.

Education:

- Chinna Thadagam Government Higher Secondary School will be upgraded.

Apart from this, the manifesto also said that a separate board will be set up for the craft department staff. Plans to provide free housing patta to the poor will also be undertaken.

The DMK leaders have also promised that permanent employment will be provided for health workers and that houses will be built by the Coimbatore Corporation.

The manifesto also mentioned, "AIADMK executives have filed a case against 186 brick manufacturing plants operating in the Chinna Thadagam Road alleging the factories are violating environmental regulations. As a result, 3 lakh workers have been indirectly affected. Once the DMK regime is in place, these factories will be reopened in accordance with the law by amending the environmental rules."

The election manifesto for Singanallur Constituency also read that the DMK government will support the development of small businesses.

Today, DMK leader Stalin was seen campaigning for DMK candidates in Coimbatore. The TN elections will take place on April 6, 2021.
