Coimbatore: Flying Squadron and Election Spectator Committees have been maintaining a tight vigilance in Coimbatore district on a rotation basis of 24 hours a day in three groups of 8 each, for each assembly constituency.
Similarly, the video surveillance team operates with two groups per block for 12 hours. Each team is staffed by a pro-investigator, 2 guards and a video cameraman, headed by an officer not below the rank of Deputy Tahsildar.
