The International Labour Organization has ranked India fifth among all countries with mean working hours. India is accompanied by other countries like Qatar, Gambia and Maldives where the majority of the working population are Indians.
ILO also states that, despite the long working hours, Indian workers are the least in making money for the quantity of work they do. India's minimum wages are reported to be among the lowest in the world.
There can be wage differences across countries but it is still evident that India is a country where over workers are paid less.
