Coimbatore: With the code of conduct in force across Valparai, Coimbatore ahead of the state assembly elections in April, political posters and banners are being removed across the area.
Municipal Commissioner Dr Pavunraj todayinspected the removal of political banners and posters near Mountain Road area in Valparai.
He then inspected the removal work of banners and posters placed in the Anna Statue Arena and provided workers on how to proceed further. Later Municipal Commissioner Dr Pavunraj called representatives of various political parties and advised them to remove their party flags.
He then met with the press and stated that the government officials are involved in removing various political banners, posters etc and said that the process has been expedited.
Valparai Manager Ragupathy was also present during the inspection by Municipal Commissioner Dr Pavunraj.
