Dr. Kalidas, Former Dean of CMCH will continue to work as the Head of Community Medicine department in CMCH.
The Dean and Special Officer of Ooty Medical College Hospital M Raveendran has been transferred, as Dean of ESI Hospital in Coimbatore.
Tamil Nadu Medical Service, Health and Family Welfare (A1) Department, issued the order with effect from the date of taking charge of the post.
Former Dean of CMCH, Dr. Kalidas has largely been known for his service in providing all the possible assistances to his fellow colleagues. Recently, a team of doctors in anaesthesia department headed by him have successfully performed celiac plexus neurolysis for the first time in the history of CMCH.
Dr. Kalidas have also been in news for his relentless service in Covid management duty, assisting to help to bring down the number of cases and creating awareness.
Similarly, Dr. Nirmala, have also been largely recognised for her guidance and service to the patients at ESI, especially during Covid times. Notably, ESI was one among the other hospitals that provided more oxygen lines for Covid patients.
Speaking to Simplicity, the newly appointed Dean of CMCH Dr. Nirmala, said that her first and foremost duty is to take care of patients, irrespective of the place she is deputed.
