As a part of the protest, members of the Maruthuva Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam took part in a grand demonstration at the Thiruvalluvar Thidal in Pollachi, Coimbatore.

Members involved in the protest raised slogans demanding various provisions, including the provision of 5% reservation and a need for legal protection as there is a rise in the incidents of assaults on saloon shop employees.
