Coimbatore: Coimbatore cops arrest a husband and his wife, who tried to steal a silver inside a jewellery shop under the pretense of buying jewelry.
In the official report by the police it is said that: Ravi from Edayarpalayam is an employee at a jewelry shop located at NSR road in Saibaba Colony, Coimbatore. Yesterday evening at the shop during work, Ravi saw a couple walking inside the shop looking to buy silverware.
While Ravi was reaching for the items they asked, the couple suddenly tried to steal a silver tumbler which weighed around 20 gms. On seeing them escape, Ravi caught them red handed and later surrendered them at the Saibaba Colony police station.
During the police investigation it was revealed that the robbers were Kannan (55) and his wife Selvi (48) who were from Dindigul. It was also revealed that the couple were involved in many such organized heists like the one that happened yesterday.
Post this confession, Police officials have arrested the 2 in prison after thorough investigation. This incident of a well planned loot at a jewelry shop has created a stir in the locality.
