Innovator from Remote village near Pollachi makes Kongu region proud: So far 72 inventions which includes SMS through slippers etc
Coimbatore: Continues achievements made by an innovator who lives near a remote village near Pollachi has made peoples of entire kongu region to feel proud. In spite of the efforts this champion is yet to get good recognition.
In an exclusive interview with 'SimpliCity' innovator, S. Ravi Kumar said,"I am a BE graduate residing at Nallampalayam near Kinathukadavu, Pollachi. My father Chinnasamy runs a workshop, mother's name is Eshwari(Teacher), wife, Divya and my son Dasvanth(7 Years old).
He said, "I did BE(EEE) at Sri Eshwar engineering college at Coimbatore. During my college days itself I was very interested in doing new innovative projects. During the 2nd year i found out a product which will help the bike to start only the rider wears a helmet. My next project was to help aged persons who reside at home alone. I made an innovative system which will help send SMS to their son or daughter when the elder peoples slip down inside their home or toilet or if they suddenly become unconscious."
He added, "Sri Eshwar College of Engineering, Director, Rajaram helped me a lot not only by encouraging me but also providing me financial support. He gave approval to establish a Roof top solar project inside the college premises. I successfully completed installing 12 kilowatt of solar power. He appreciated and also advised me to join a solar power training course conducted at central governments MSME office premises at Coimbatore. Whereas when I told my experience and valuable suggestions, the trainers were inspired and at the end they asked me to conduct classes where I joined as a trainee. Solar and Automation in Agriculture at an affordable cost is my aim. So far I have invented 72 products and got 4 Patents. Faculty in the Mechanical engineering department helped me by telling me the procedures to get a patent. Seeing my achievements Rathinam college, Mahalingam college, SNR college etc are Continually asking me to give guest lectures and to conduct special training classes.``
He said, "At present I am running a private company named 'Hero Tech' which focuses on Solar, Agri Automation. My products are advanced which will help to maintain more acres off land without manpower. I have succeeded in Implementing this system in 10 acres. Seeing this a politician from the Kongu party has voluntarily given me one acre of land free of cost to set up a lab. I also provide soil testing at an affordable price. With my device we can easily study and take the report. While the lab gives 100% accuracy. My device will give more than 60% accuracy in finding out Nitrogen level, potassium level etc. which is sufficient. IOT(Internet of Things) is the future and I am dedicated to finding out many innovative products at affordable cost which will be useful to people."
