Differently-abled persons arrested for protesting without permission in Pollachi


Coimbatore: Differently-abled arrested for attempting to block a road near the Pollachi Sub-Collector's Office, demanding an increase in government allowance.

The monthly allowance for the disabled in Tamil Nadu should be increased to 5000. Differently-abled people have been engaged in a series of protests at the Pollachi Collectorate premises since yesterday, demanding that they should be giveen 14% reservation in employment.



More than 50 differently-abled people today staged a protest in front of the Sub-collectorate office. Then they tried to engage in a road blockade.



Protestors were arrested for engaging in a protest without prior permission.
