Anganwadi workers protests by lighting lamp in front of District Collectorate




Coimbatore: Anganwadi workers protest in front of the Coimbatore District Collector's Office carrying candles on the eve of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa's birthday. Coimbatore District President of the Tamil Nadu Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Association R Shanthi said, "The Government of Tamil Nadu should accept and resolve our demands as soon as possible and implementation of the old pension scheme and the provision of regular periodic pay to them, such as the minimum pension for Anganwadi workers and the provision of a minimum work allowance of Rs. 10 lakhs and Rs. 5 lakhs to employees and assistants on retirement."





They carried candles and demanded that the present Tamil Nadu government should implement the plans announced by the late Chief Minister Jayalalithaa on her birthday. She said that the Tamil Nadu government should fulfill their demands on the birthday of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.
