Members of the TNGEA said that they are disappointed as the government has failed to listen to their woes.
Coimbatore: Tamilnadu government employees association (TNGEA) members participated in a protest in front of the District Collector's Office in Coimbatore today demanding the government to cancel the new pension scheme.

The association members also demanded the government to sanction basic pay to Nutritional teachers, Anganwadi workers, MRB nurses, Municipal librarians, Town Panchayat Secretaries and Village Revenue assistants.

Protestors further demanded the government to announce the 41 monthlayoff period of road workers as a bonus. They also demanded the government to pay the salaries to municipal and corporation employees from government treasury and to sanction 50 lakh rupees for workers who died due to Covid-19 along with a special salary for Covid-19 workers.
