Differently-abled protest demanding increase in monthly allowance in Tirupur District Collectorate


Tirupur: People with disabilities take part in a protest in the Tirupur District Collector's Office demanding an increase in the disability allowance.



People with disabilities have been protesting against the Tirupur District Collector's Office, demanding 5 per cent reservation in private companies, the amount of assistance provided to the disabled throughout Tamil Nadu should be increased from 1,000 to 3,000, and to increase allowance from 1,500 to Rs. 5000 for severely disabled persons.
