2 persons who caused damage to government property granted bail in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: 2 persons who caused damage to government property granted bail in Coimbatore. Few days ago 2 drunken men threw stones at and broke the glass of the government bus. Following this the police arrested them and imprisoned them. Their bail came up for hearing yesterday and the trial judge dismissed both their bails.
While the town bus from Coimbatore, Gandhipuram- Marudhamalai, Government Town Bus, Saibaba Colony, NSR, was in operation when the two men who were drunk on the bike, tried to overtake the bus, but in the ensuing dispute broke the rear side glass. Karthik, 20, and Saddam Hussein, 24, of Fourth Street, KK Pudur, were charged under the Public Property Damage Act and arrested on October 10 on a complaint lodged by bus driver Ravi Kumar. A petition was filed in the District Sessions Court seeking their release on bail. The trial judge dismissed bail for the two.
