Coimbatore: While protests against the State and Central government are taking place across the state against the upsurge in the price of all commodities, members of the All India Democratic Maadhar's Union in Coimbatore engaged in a modern struggle today called “Selfie with curry leaves”.
Prices of the common commodities have escalated post the hike of fuel prices in India. The upsurge has especially cost the middle class members who are now charged extra cash for Curry leaves, which are usually provided free of cost with groceries. The price of curry leaves havereached Rs 150 per kg. Similarly, the prices of all commodities, including small onions, gas cylinders have also gone up sharply.
