Coimbatore: Hindu Jananayaga Munnani petitions to Coimbatore District Collector to quash false case. Lotus Manikandan of the Hindu Jananayaga Munnani lives in the Sulur area of Coimbatore and he has been working for the welfare of the Hindu people for more than 15 years. Later, the Coimbatore Singanallur police station lodged a complaint with the district collector through a public grievance camp condemning the occupation of land belonging that belonged to the corporation.
Following this, the law and order assistant inspector of the Singanallur police station snatched his cell phone from him and insulted him by saying inappropriate words without properly investigating the false case filed against him by those involved in the land grabbing. He later said he had been arrested and jailed and was currently out on court bail. He said that his wife, who went to meet the district collector last January that a false complaint was made at the Racecourse Police Station and also said that the police had spoken insultingly to his wife as well.
He further said that he had filed a petition with the Coimbatore District Collector condemning the illegal conduct of the police and seeking cancellation of the false charges against him and his wife and to take action against the police officers who had insulted him.
