Train stopped as a person was hit and killed in Coimbatore


Coimbatore: Train stopped as a person was hit and killed. The train from Delhi to Thiruvananthapuram via Coimbatore was traveling on the tracks behind the Coimbatore Peelamedu Brookfield a short while ago today. The train suddenly stopped. Then when the public got off and saw they saw that someone had been hit by a train and was found lying in pieces there.

Coimbatore Central Railway police were informed and police Inspector Murugan has gone to the spot and is conducting an investigation. It is not known who the deceased was and the investigations are on if the train was stopped as the loco pilot saw the person ready to jump in front of the train.
