Robbery in Government hospital: Police on lookout for accused who stole doctor's laptop and a visitor's bike
Coimbatore: Police are searching for the gang which stole a laptop from a doctor and a motorcycle from the astrologer at the Coimbatore Government Medical College Hospital yesterday. Vairavan (age 30) from Karanampettai is an astrologer. He arrived at the Coimbatore Government Hospital on a motorcycle last evening to see the body of a deceased person. The motorcycle was parked on the hospital premises and he was on his way to the autopsy unit. The motorcycle was missing when he came back and looked. Pranesh, 40, who works as a doctor in the orthopaedics ward at a government hospital, had a laptop in his room. Unidentified person came and stole his laptop while he was away.
They couldn't find the missing items even after searching in several places. Coimbatore Government Hospital is under the control of the Racecourse Law and Orderpolice. Police patrols at the government hospital were not active and even though surveillance cameras were there they could not catch the culprits. It has also been accused that the police are negligent in arresting the accused.
The people who come to the government hospital are poor ordinary people but the police are neglecting to protect them. Therefore, they have demanded that immediate action be taken to prevent theft at the government hospital. A complaint was lodged with the Racecourse Police and the police are looking for culprits.
