DMK has sent message for alliance but leaders have not spoken - Kamal Haasan
Coimbatore:Kamal Haasan said thatDMK has sent message for alliance but leaders have not spoken. The 4th year inauguration of the Makkal neethi Maiam led by actor Kamal Haasan was held today at Tambaram Sairam College next to Chennai.
Speaking on the occasion, Kamal Haasan said, ‘Even the respect given to cows today is not available to Tamils. Even after asking several times to meet the Prime Minister, we weren't given an appointment. It is not to join the party and put on a piece of saffron. It is to explain that the center should not prevent the good that is going to happen to the people based on their principles.
He added, "I want to serve people when I am healthy and I have five more years to go. I am now 60 years old and I will not come in a wheelchair and disturb anyone. The Big Boss is part of a political program. There are good people in all parties, including the DMK and the AIADMK. They are doing good work and left without respect. I call on them to join the Makkal neethi Maiam. MGR has kissed my forehead over ten times. Religious harmony will prevail automatically if we rule. But today's politics are not like that. AIADMK is the party which has made history of arresting the Chief Minister while in power is the AIADMK. MGR symbolising double did not mean the liaison between the two. When it comes to the Tasmac issue both ADMK and DMK are equally responsible and have wronged. There is not much difference between the two."
He further added, "I was told that I would incur a loss of Rs. 300 crore and that is why Bigg Boss happened. The conference to be held on March 7 will have repercussions in Tamil Nadu."
He later told reporters, "I did not talk about politics with Rajinikanth. How can he be called to work with when he says he did not want to come? Would that be right? The third team appears to be blossoming. Coalition talks were held from DMK. But messengers cannot be accepted and there should be a call from the leadership."
