Woman loses 40 sovereign necklace in car: Jewellery handed over to police in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: Woman lost 40 sovereign necklace in car and it was handed over to police in Coimbatore.
Bobby is from the Saibaba colony, Coimbatore and owns a cab company called CC Travels and works on a contract basis for companies including Go Taxi and Uber. Yesterday morning a person rented a car at 9am asking to go from Goldwins to KG Hospital. Four people, including women, were on board.

After dropping them off at the hospital, Bobby the driver and owner of the car, went home at around 9pm after taking various rentals. The passenger, who travelled in the morning called Bobby and asked if there was a bag left in the car. When Bobby checked the car's trunk he saw that there was a bag and asked the customer for its identification to ensure it was theirs.
He then asked if there were any expensive items, they said there were only clothes. When the bag was opened, the owner of the car found gold jewelry worth several lakhs of rupees and informed the drivers' union officials about it. Police interrogated him when he came to hand over the bag to the City Commissioner of Police office in the morning. They then called the passenger who had missed the bag to come to the police station. Further investigations are ongoing. Police are conducting a serious investigation as they have found several lakhs worth of jewelry missing in the car when they said they were only clothes.
