Life sentence for father who sexually abused daughter: Ooty court verdict.
Coimbatore: Ooty court has sentenced a father to life imprisonment for sexually harassing his daughter.
In Gudalur, a judge sentenced a father to life imprisonment and fined him 10 lakh rupees for sexually abusing his adopted daughter. In the absence of his wife, he sexually abused his daughter. He threatened to kill her if she told anyone. Fearing this, the girl did not tell anyone.
The girl when she went to her grandfather's house, told of the abuse and later the girl was taken to the hospital for examination. Relatives lodged a complaint at the All Women Police Station, Gudalur on September 21, 2017. After interrogation, the man was arrested under the 'POCSO' Act. The case was taken up in the Ooty Magistrate's Court and at the final hearing yesterday, Judge Arunachalam sentenced the accused to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10 lakh. Public prosecutor Malini appeared in this case.
