20 lakh youth lost their jobs in the last 5 years of AIADMK rule: Pollachi MP Shanmugasundaram
Coimbatore: Pollachi MP Shanmugasundaram alleges that during the last 5 years of AIADMK rule, 20 lakh youth lost their jobs in Tamil Nadu. On the occasion of the birthday of DMK President MK Stalin, a function was held at Kullichettipalayam under the Pollachi North Union, Coimbatore South District under the leadership of North (Eastern) Union Secretary V. Maruthavel to distribute cricket equipment worth about Rs. 4.50 lakhs to about 85 teams for the benefit of the rural youth. Pollachi MP Shanmugasundaram handed over cricket equipment to students.
He then said, "Government statistics show that 250 youths commit suicide in Tamil Nadu every year. In the last five years, 1,500 youths have committed suicide due to family circumstances without employment in Tamil Nadu. In addition, 20 lakh youths who have lost their jobs in the last 5 years. To improve the situation the education loan will be canceled as soon as DMK leader MK Stalin comes to power and he will create employment opportunities."
The event was attended by North (West) Union Secretary Sakthivel, Medical Paramasivam, Mohan Veerakumar, Kathirvelu, Prakash and many party executives.
