Coimbatore: ATM robbers fled as ATM caught fire while trying to break it open in Pollachi.There was a robbery attempt in a South Indian Bank ATM in Vettaikaranpudur in Anaimalai, Pollachi. The robbers fled as a fire broke out while trying to break the machine with gas welding.
Police are conducting an intensive investigation into the robbery and there are reports that several lakh of rupees were inside the burning machine. It is to be noted that this is the third robbery attempt at the same ATM machine.
