Water level in Kovai Kutralam is gradually declining due to onset of summer
Coimbatore: Water level in Kovai Kutralam is gradually declining. Kovai Kutralam, near Coimbatore, is a popular tourist destination for the people from North Districts.
As the summer heat begins the water level in Kovai Kutralam is gradually declining and hence tourists are disappointed.
Kovai Kutralam Falls is one of the most important tourist attractions in the Kongu region. Due to the heavy monsoon last year, the falls were flooded. With the onset of summer there is no rainfall in the catchment areas of Kerala and Coimbatore and the water level in the falls has dropped. The forest department official said, "If there is no rain in the coming days, the water level will fall further,"
