Coimbatore: Priests at the CSI Church in Racecourse staged a sit-in protest demanding action against the divide of Christian region in Coimbatore which allegedly betrays the Dalit community people. The protestors also said that they had petitioned the Coimbatore District Collector to take appropriate action against those who were obstructing the life and development of the oppressed Dalit minority and requested immediate action against the perpetrators.
A decision must be taken only after considering the views of clergy and common public which insures the protection of the livelihoods of the oppressed.
