Coimbatore: Forest activists urge to capture and treat monkey roaming in Pollachi urban areas with injuries in limbs. Pollachi and its surroundings are bordered with forests and as a result, wildlife often enters the city leaving the forest. In the last few months, 3 monkeys are roaming around the city in search of food. The monkeys have been injured when the public attacked them with stones.
The monkeys have now separated and are roaming around the city in search of food. As the monkey with injured limbs is roaming in residential areas with no proper treatment the forest activists have demanded that the monkeys roaming around the city should be captured by the forest officials and released into the forest after providing proper medical treatment to the injured monkey.
