Coimbatore: SFI petitions District Collector for removal of Tasmac in Anjaneya Colony, Ondipudur. The public and SFI have filed a petition with the Coimbatore District Collector seeking the removal of Tasmac as it is a nuisance to the public in the Anjaneya Colony area of Coimbatore.

They said they had to cross Tasmac to get to the hospital, school and college, and the people who came drunk were causing nuisance to the women. They also said that the drunk are involved in robbery and the railway police had blocked the track and told people to use the tunnel as there was an increase in accidents while crossing the tracks.

They said that they had to go through the tunnel only after crossing Tasmac. They mentioned that no action was taken even after appealing to the officials twice to remove the Tasmac which was a hindrance to the public and therefore petitioned directly to the District Collector.
