Second Rope car at Palani Murugan Temple temporarily suspended!

Officials say that the suspension is temporary.

Coimbatore: Rope car facility service in Palani Murugan Temple is used by pilgrims to reach the hilltop. The rope car service is mainly used by the pilgrims who are unable to climb up the hill because of their age or sickness.

However, one of the rope cars is temporarily suspended for 40 days.

Out of the 3 ropes cars which were used in the service, the second rope car is now under maintenance. Temple Board said that the maintenance work will be carried out from 15.02.2021 (Monday) and is expected to be completed within 40 days.

Palani Murugan Temple Board said that a trial run will be conducted post the maintenance works, after which the rope car will be open for service to the pilgrims.
