Coimbatore:Kovai Power Driven Pumps and Spares Manufacturers Association(KOPMA) has requested the Tamilnadu government to waive off the loans for micro industries as they did for the farmers.

In his address KOPMA president K Maniraj said that "The manufacturing process in the micro industries sector has been very badly hit due to the abnormal price of raw materials.
This price hike is artificially created and the Central Government should take immediate action to ensure sufficient materials are available at an affordable cost.
Tamilnadu government has waived of Rs 12,000 crores valued farmers loans. Likewise the government should waive off the loans borrowed by all the Micro industries across the state.
Micro industrialists are reeling in a huge crisis. MLA's and MP's are not showing interest in hearing our issues and are not taking it to the State and Central Government.
Hence we have decided to nominate candidates from the micro industries sector to contest in the upcoming election." He said.
