Elephants taking part in this rejuvenation camp get walking excercise in the mornings and evenings which is followed by a rejoicing bath at the shower stage set-up near the river by the camp.
Under the advice made by the doctors of Tamilnadu Veterinary and maintenance department, a wholistic food containing millets and other necessary components which provide nutrition are given to the elephants.
Millets, vegetables and need food supplies are brought to the camp from places like The Nilgiris, Sathyamangalam and Gobi. Sugarcanes for the elephants are brought from Madurai and fed to them daily.
Camp maintanence officials said that "Elephants at the camp really love Koondhal Panai and prefer to eat them. They also prefer eating corn and millets."
