Coimbatore: DMK organized a grand event today which happened at the Ramalakshmi Wedding hall near Goldwins, Coimbatore. The grand event had many events which included the launch of the book "Why should you vote for DMK?", Vidiyalai Noki Stalin in Kural campaign and the joining of over 1000 youngsters in DMK.
Coimbatore DMK West Secretary Paiya R Krishnan headed this event.
Dravidan publisher Kovai Babu gave the inaugural address and Nilgiris MP A Raja launched the book which was received by DMK's Environmental team Secretary Karthikeya Siva Senathipathy.
DMK Environmental Team Secretary Karthikeya Siva Senathipathy then addressed the gathering. He then said that "Tamil language which flourished around 2000 years ago has been denied to flourish now. DMK party which followed the footsteps of Periyar fought against the oppression of Tamil language and developed the state of Tamilnadu. We have achieved greater heights compared to other states, this is only because of the foundation laid by Dravidian Parties."
"Tamilnadu has overcome caste based oppression because of DMK party. BJP party which is ruling in the center have w policy of one nation, one language, one relegion and one race. The party is involved in activites which is against the secularist goals of the nation. Only Dravidian policies can fight against this."
Nilgiris MP A Raja then addressed the gathering abs said that " Tamilnadu is a developed state and it should be compared to other countries than the states in India."
He the said that "DMK is the only party which has fought against the inequality done based on caste. DMK is standing even after being founded 50 years ago. India is the only country which separates people based on their nature of job. DMK is the only party fighting against it."
DMK Deputy General Secretary A Raja then met the press and stated that "Complaints against me haven't been proved yet and there is no evidence against me. BJP has no concern regarding the release of the 7 Tamil people, they are delaying the release of them wantonly."
