It is reported that Minister CV Shanmugam made derogatory remarks on the Devar community.
Coimbatore: Advocate Karthik is a resident of Gopalapuram area, Coimbatore. He is a member of the Mukulathor Community Lawyers Association.
Today he met city police commissioner Sumit Sharan and filed a petition with him.
In his petition Advocate Karthik said that "Law Minister CV Shanmugam met with the press yesterdayon 11.02.2021. During the press meet Minister CV Shanmugam made personal remarks on RK Nagar MLA TTV Dhinakaran. Minister CV Shanmugam then made derogatory remarks on the Devar community and people.
Minister CV Shanmugam has been involved with making such personal attacks. I request the police commissioner to take immediate action against him for his behaviour."
