Coimbatore: 2 arrested for assaulting medical college manager in Coimbatore.
Manager Sivakumar from Chettipalayam had lodged a complaint at the police station alleging that some people were cheating saying a private medical college was for sale in Coimbatore. Yesterday afternoon, the two fraudsters had spoken to Sivakumar in person that they had the documents of the Medical College Hospital. This led to a controversy and the fraudsters attacked Sivakumar and issued death threats.
Upon information Chettipalayam police went there and arrested the two. During the investigation, it was learned that Shankar, 49, of Seiyoor, Thiruvannamalai, and Ramachandran, 54, of Ashokapuram, Thudiyalur, had gathered information on the college website and, accordingly, were involved in a fraud attempt. Both were produced before a magistrate and remanded in custody.
