Coimbatore:Corporation Commissioner orders to complete model road works quickly. Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer P. Kumaravel Pandian inspected the ongoing development work in the South and West Zones of the Coimbatore Corporation.
In Coimbatore Corporation, work is underway to construct tar roads in the areas dug for the construction of underground sewers under the Smart city project.
Following this, the Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer P. Kumaravel Pandian on February 11th inspected the ongoing tar road works in the Selvapuram North Housing Point area under Ward No.77, South Zone.
Following this, the Commissioner visited and inspected the repair work of roads in Krishnaswamy Nagar, Ward No. 92, South Zone. Previously, under the Smart City Project of the Coimbatore Corporation, a model road was constructed at a cost of Rs. 24.36 crore under the Smart City Project from the junction of Diwan Bahadur Road to Sukrawarpet Road Road in the RS Puram area of the West Zone.
Works including installation of electric cables installation underground, 24/7drinking water pipe laying, telecommunication cable laying, rainwater drainage works, construction of pedestrian walkways, decorative street lights on both sides, construction of lighted billboards were inspected and he ordered the officers to finish all the works quickly.
Engineer Gnanavelu, Assistant Engineer Kamalakkannan, Junior Engineer Kanagaraj, Junior Engineer (P) Ganesan and Corporation officials were present during the inspection.
