Makkal Neethi Maiam releases a 25 point resolution at the General Body Meeting: Kamal Hassan to be the permanent President of MNM



Coimbatore: Resolutions were passed at the meeting of all the general body members of the Makkal Neethi Maiam held in Chennai on 11 February 2021. The 25 point resolutions by the party were as follows:

1. Kamal Haasan, the leader of the Makkal Neethi Maiam, who has been working tirelessly for the cause of restructuring Tamil Nadu through a corrupt and honest administration, has completed the first phase of the election campaign despite his injuries. We extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to him on behalf of the Makkal Neethi Maiam party executives and volunteers.

2. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the leader who fought and recovered the symbol of the party's iconic battery torch and to the executives who performed well under his guidance and restored the symbol.

3. On behalf of all General Body Members, it has been accepted that our Leader Kamal Haasan, who works tirelessly day and night using all his talent, career, wealth, fame and experience to do good for the the Tamil language and the Tamil people, should act as the permanent leader of the Makkal Neethi Maiam Party. Hence are pleased to announce that Kamal Haasan will be the Permanent Leader of the Makkal Neethi Maiam Party from today.

4. The power to take any decision is vested in President Kamal Haasan by the Makkal Neethi Maiam unanimously by all the general body members of the party. The power to form alliances for elections, individual field viewing, candidate selection, election strategy, election campaigning is vested in President Kamal Haasan.

5. It is the duty of each and every one of us to work with the sole objective of winning the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections and to win over the candidates of the Makkal Neethi Maiam and to make our leader Kamal Haasan the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. We must each strive to realize our dream of 'Seeraimppom Tamilagathai'.

6. We thank the physicians, paramedics, hospital staff, paramedics, civil servants including police, ministers, politicians, volunteers, businessmen who worked to protect the people, regardless of their lives or safety during the pandemic. Makkal Neethi Maiam was the first party to take action to alleviate the suffering of the people during this pandemic. The work we have done as a 'Naame Theervu' will forever remain in the pages of history. We commend all the members of the party involved in the relief work during the pandemic. We have lost some of our party members in this service. We will appreciate their sacrifice.

7. Makkal Neethi Maiam praises the sacrifice, service and heroism of the soldiers who defended the country during the day and in the heat of the day.

8. We must each strive to realize our dream of winning the 2021 Puducherry Assembly elections and victory of the candidates of the Makkal Neethi Maiam in a landslide victory.

9. Students should impact politics before politics can attack them. The Makkal Neethi Maim cordially invites Tamil Nadu students to come forward on their own to bring about change and reorganize Tamil Nadu.

10. There are numerous voluntary charities, charitable organizations and environmental movements operating in Tamil Nadu for the benefit of Tamil Nadu. Their service and sacrifice are commendable. The Makkal Neethi Maiam values the work of such public servants. MNM calls on these people to gather as one team to protect the soil, language and people.

11. The pride of the people who have fully realized the importance and strength of the Grama Niladharis throughout Tamil Nadu belongs to the center of justice. The MNM condemns the action of the Tamil Nadu government in not holding village councils, citing COVID-19 fearing that their corruption and administrative malpractice will be exposed if they run village councils.

12. The MNM will never accept the looting of the environment in the name of development and the impact of agriculture on the rural nation. The MNM urges the Tamil Nadu government not to allow any project that could affect agriculture, such as the eight-lane road, on Tamil soil.

13. The death of 561 elephants in the last six years alone is a simple example of the government's negligence in ecological protection. The MNM urges the Government of Tamil Nadu to immediately remove those who have encroached on wildlife habitats and routes, no matter who they are and no matter how large the area.

14. The contribution of housewives in the economy of the country is an inevitable feature. The long-standing demand of the MNM is that the state pay for their fair work and sacrifice and now the Supreme Court is insisting. The MNM urges the central and state governments to document the payment of wages to housewives.

15. The Pollachi sex scandal that rocked the country was first brought to light by the MNM and stood by the victims. Investigations have not been completed for two years after this tragic incident. The perpetrators have not yet been punished. Sexual crimes against women continue to occur in Tamil Nadu. The MNM has demanded that the Pollachi case be investigated expeditiously and that crimes against women be stopped.

16. The MNM condemns the efforts of the BJP government to somehow impose languages like Hindi and Sanskrit.

17.  Selling alcohol is not a business for the government. The anti-people act of targeting and increasing sales must be stopped immediately. The MNM urges the Government of Tamil Nadu to immediately open quality rehabilitation centers for TASMAC stores in every town.

16. Incidents of murder and robbery taking place in Tamil Nadu are signs of law and order disturbance. The MNM condemns the Tamil Nadu government for failing to curb gun culture, increasing the number of robbers and murderers.

19. The people of Tamil Nadu have a right to know the cause of death of the late former Chief Minister and the background to the subsequent mysterious deaths at the Kodanadu Estate. The MNM urges the Tamil Nadu government to uncover the facts without further indifference.

20. No one in the medical field as government doctors, medical staff, medical students, Tamil Nadu students preparing for the medical entrance examination is at peace with this rule. MNM condemns the Tamil Nadu government for not listening to their demands.

21. Namakkal Medical College collapsed while being built. The dam built across the Then pennai River broke within a month. The mini clinic in Kasoor collapsed during the opening ceremony. The MNM condemns this corrupt government for playing with people's lives and tax money by leaving tenders to corrupt contractors in order to inherit the people's tax money.

22. There are reports that Dravidian parties are planning to get votes by paying between Rs 2,000 and Rs 10,000 per ballot. It is an act of undermining democracy. Those who seize power by giving money cannot be good for sure. The MNM calls on the Tamil Nadu Election Commission to act vigilantly to prevent the distribution of cash and prizes to the electorate and to ensure fair and fair elections.

23. It is disappointing that seven Tamils are made to wait without appropriate action for their release. The MNM urges the Tamil Nadu government to unite all parties and make a decision.

24. Tamil Nadu fishermen are struggling in the Indian Ocean, unable to engage in their fishing activities peacefully. The Central Government and the Government of Tamil Nadu have a responsibility to protect the Tamil Nadu fishermen by providing permanent protection to their business, life and property. The MNM condemns the central and state government for failing to do so.

25. The MNM urges the Government of Tamil Nadu to submit a white paper on the loans taken by the Government of Tamil Nadu before the elections.
