Old woman killed in a gaur attack in Nilgiris

Lakshmi who sustained heavy injuries at her back, chest and limbs died on the spot.


The Nilgiris: Lakshmi (65) was a resident of Periya Bikati in Coonoor, The Nilgiris. She was a worker at a tea estate. Today while Lakshmi was on her way out she was hit by an Indian Gaur which was hiding behind the bushes.

Lakshmi who sustained heavy injuries at her back, chest and limbs died on the spot.

Coonoor Forest Department Officials under Ranger Sasikumar and Ranger Rajkumar arrived at the scene and recovered the body.

Later Aruvankadu police officials sent Lakshmi's body to the Coonoor Government Hospital for autopsy. Police have also started an investigation about this.
