Coimbatore: Nagarajan (62) a retired government official and his wife Sumathi are from Ondipudur, Coimbatore. Nagarajan recently bought 3 housing lands in the same area. When Nagarajan went to the Singanallur Corporation East Zone office for registration he contacted Nirmal Kumar a Corporation official.
Nirmal Kumar did not take any action event after two months of the application. Nagarajan went to Coimbatore Corporation yesterdayto meet Nirmal Kumar, but since he was not there Nagarajan spoke to him via mobile phone.
Nagarajan was asked to given 6000 rupees in total to proceed with the corporation works. Post this Nagarajan filed a complaint with the Anti Corruption Officials.
Later the vigilance department officials asked Nagarajan to give phenolphthalein marked currency notes to Nirmal Kumar.
Nagarajan was asked to give the money to an agent by officer Nirmal Kumar. Vigilance department officials Ganesh, Kalaiarasi and Arumugam arrested the people involved in coruption.
