Zonal Development Officer Nandha Kumar assured the protestors that actions will be taken against Kotagiri Kanagaraj by 15th February. Post this the members dispersed from the protest.
Coimbatore: Village Panchayat President and other leaders from Kotagiri, The Nilgiris took part in a sit in demonstration against Kotagiri Kanagaraj who is treating elected officials badly.
It is said that Kotagiri Kanagaraj had spent around 2 crore rupees from the village administration fund toward the development of another zone without seeking the permission of other officials.
However no action has been taken against Kotagiri Kanagaraj, the village officials then complained multiple times at the Kotagiri PDO and at the district authorities but no action has been taken.
As a part of showing their discontent against this, the members took part in an indoor demonstration requesting the officials to take actions on Kotagiri Kanagaraj.
