Coimbatore: BJP’s Kalyanaraman has been arrested again for posting slanderous messages on Facebook.

Kalyanaraman, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, has been arrested and jailed for speaking slanderously at a protest rally at Mettupalayam. His bail petition came up for hearing for the second time yesterdayand again the judge dismissed the bail plea. He has been booked again yesterday for spreading slanderous messages through Facebook.

BJP state executive committee member Kalyanaraman was arrested for uttering blasphemous remarks on a religion during a protest on behalf of the BJP in Mettupalayam. On March 20last year, a complaint was lodged against Kalyanaraman for posting defamatory comments on Facebook about other religions during a protest against citizenship law. Ratnapuri police had registered a case in this regard and Kalyanaraman was arrested by the police yesterdaywith an arrest warrant.
