Coimbatore: On the occasion of the birth anniversary celebrations of Late Tamilnadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, AIADMK party members have organized wedding ceremonies for couples in Coimbatore.

AIADMK Minister SP Velumani today inspected the wedding venue at the Chettipalayam area in Perur, Coimbatore.

Later Minister SP Velumani met with the press and said that "As a part of celebrating Amma's 73 Birth Anniversary, AIADMK officials recently planned to organise the wedding of 73 couples. But the number has now increased 123 couples.

A lot of weddings were postponed due to Covid-19 pandemic, that is the reason behind the increase in number this year."

Rural Development and Municipal Administration Minister SP Velumani then stated that "It is not decent for MK Stalin to go around saying Chief Minister Edapadi Palanisamy is completing the ideas suggested by him."

He then shared his discontent with how his message to work as siblings created confusion. Minister SP Velumani requested the party members to work in unity helping the contesting member wing the upcoming elections.

When asked about RK Nagar MLA TTV Dhinakaran's statement on DMK bring the common opposition, AIADMK Minister SP Velumani said that "DMK chief MK Stalin took AIADMK members to Coorg trying to turn them against AIADMK rule, where was TTV Dhinakaran then?" He questioned.

AIADMK Minister SP Velumani stated that "MGR founded AIADMK party to oppose Kalaingar. DMK has always been the common enemy for us. Kalaingar could have stopped the Tamil genocide in Srilanka. DMK has cheated the Tamil Community and people won't forget it.

DMK is now involved in making a drama due to the upcoming elections. MK Stalin is behaving this way since he is scared of the popularity that Chief Minister Edapadi Palanisamy has."
