Youth stabbed for talking to a girl: Police hunt for 2 Hindu Munnani members
Coimbatore: Police are on the lookout for 2 Hindu outfit members for stabbing a youth while he was talking to a friend. Police said “Akhil Ahmed (27), son of Mohammad Mubarak, son of SDPI 82nd branch leader, SS Kovil street, Kottaimedu, Coimbatore, was talking to his friend Charulatha near the Dhanvantari temple in Ramanathapuram yesterday.”
Then Karthik and Sanjay alias Sachin, a Hindu Munnani leader who came to the area, saw Akhil Ahmed and stabbed him with a hidden knife, allegedly asking him if he was doing Love Jihad. They fled the scene after hitting him with an iron bar. Akhil Ahmed is receiving treatment at the Coimbatore Government Hospital with severe wounds.

Ramanathapuram police have registered a case of attempted murder and are looking for the culprit Karthik and Sachin. Karthik is a local rowdy and there are already various attempted murder cases against him at the Ramanathapuram police station. The incident has caused a stir in the area.
