Koniamman Temple in Townhall, Coimbatore celebrates the iconic temple car festival every year. This year the Koniamman Temple Car festival is scheduled to happen on 3rd March.
The inauguration ceremony for the temple car festival is scheduled on 15th this month which is followed by a flag hoisting ceremony on 23rd February.
As part of the yearly festivities, Koniamman Deity is said to go on a pulivahanam on 24th, which will be followed by kili vahanam on 25th, simmah vahanam on 26th, anna vahanam on 27th, Kamadhenu vahanam on 28th February.
Koniamman Deity is then scheduled to go on a street visit on silver elephant vahanam on March 1st. The main event of thirukalyanam is scheduled on March second followed by the temple car festival on March 3rd.
Later parivettai is scheduled to happen on March 4th, which will be followed by theppa thiruvizha on March 5th. The Koniamman Temple festival will end on 8th of Marchwith the Vasantha festival.
