Coimbatore: Special pujas and worships in the temples of Coimbatore district on Pradosham. It was attended by a large number of devotees.
Special pujas were held at the temples around Pollachi, Udumalai and Valparai. Special poojas were held at the Pollachi Jodhnagar Visalatchi Udanamar Jothilingeswarar Temple on the occasion of Pradosham. Pujas were held for Jothi Lingeswarar and Nandikeswarar.
Special anointing and decorative pujas were held for Ramalingeswarar at the Ramalinga Sowdambigai Amman Temple. Ramalingeswarar was adorned in special attire and at the Mahaliamman Temple, a special anointing and decorative puja was held for Rudra Lingeswarar and Lord Nandi on the eve of Pradosham. During the worship at the Rudralingeswarar Varadharaja Perumal Temple, Yoga Narasimhar was decorated to bless the devotees. Special pujas were held for Lord Shiva and Nandi in T.Kottampatti.
Udumalai Thillai Nagar, Rathinambikai Udanurai Rathinalingeswarar Temple Nandi Bhagavan was anointed with 16 items. Special poojas were held at the Prasanna Vinayagar Temple, Viswanathar Visalatchi Amman Sannathi also the Lord blessed the devotees in the Rishabha vahanam.
Special anointings and worships were held at the temples, including Eripalayam Siddhanteeswarar and Somavarappatti Amarapuyangeeswarar. The second Pradosham Puja was held yesterdayat the Valparai Subramaniya Swami Temple for the Kasiviswanathar diety. Puja was held with 16 types of items at 5:30 pm, including milk, yoghurt, turmeric, tender coconut water, honey and water. In the evening, a special decoration ceremony was held at 6:10 p.m. Later Lord Kasiviswanathar came around the temple and blessed the devotees in the Rishabha vahanam.
