Pollachi stock trading broker commits suicide by drinking poison - Police investigates
Coimbatore: Police are investigating the death of Pollachi stock trading broker who committed suicide by drinking poison as he failed to reap profits for investors.
Ashok Kumar (32) is the son of Ponnusamy from Achipatti near Pollachi. He has been working as a stock trading broker for Capital Market India Limited Agency. His office is located at Pollachi Rajam Road. The stock has been in decline for the past 10 months due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Frustrated that those who had invested in him could not make a proper profit, Ashok Kumar committed suicide by drinking a coconut tree pesticide in his office yesterday. People in the neighborhood who saw this informed the police. Police rushed to the spot, seized the body and sent it to Pollachi Government Hospital for autopsy.
Ashok Kumar, who committed suicide, had written a letter stating that those who invested in the stock market could not make a profit, so I committed suicide and his family or no one else was responsible for his death. Police have confiscated the letter, registered a case and are investigating the incident.
