COVID 19: Tamil Nadu posts 491 recoveries to 469 new cases

Coimbatore: Continuing to register a dip in new infections, Tamil Nadu on Tuesday recorded 469 fresh COVID-19 cases and 4 more deaths, pushing the overall case tally to 8,42,730 and toll to 12,391.


Coimbatore: Continuing to register a dip in new infections, Tamil Nadu on Tuesday recorded 469 fresh COVID-19 cases and 4 more deaths, pushing the overall case tally to 8,42,730 and toll to 12,391.

Recoveries continued to eclipse new cases with 491 patients getting cured aggregating to 8,26,011 till date, the State health department bulletin said.

Active cases stood at 4,328.

Among districts, Chennai led with 139 new cases today followed by Coimbatore with 53 cases.

Testing of samples stood at 51,174 today, totalling to 1,64,91,030 getting examined till date.
